The "shadow boxes" weren't anything to look at when I started. They weren't painted any color and are just plywood on the outside, with screen on the inside. They were dust collectors. So I feel like the new rendition of them has really added to the room and made it look bigger too. This studio is in an outbuilding that has been partially converted. That is why there are cinderblock walls. One wall is wood planks. So it took a lot of paint to cover it all. The little built-ins really do a lot for the space.
You can see the view outside my front door into the backyard as well. There is another little outbuilding to the right, that you can see from the front door, that is a sauna. I have never used it, but peeked in there last night and it's very nice.
There is a faux window looking thing above my bed. I left it white so that I can get creative with it, or wait until someone who does murals (Kristina's friend) can paint it.
